Implants
At Westbury Dental we now also offer implant procedures. This can be
either full implants (replacement of all teeth with implants) or
partical implants where one or more teeth are replaced with implants.
A dental implant uses a titanium root that replaces the original root
of the tooth. Ths root in turn supports restorations that resemble a
tooth or group of teeth to replace missing teeth.
Dental implants today appear similar to an actual tooth root and are
placed within the bone. This in the end assures a strong fixtation of
the implant and results in dentures feeling and looking like natural
teeth.
Dental implants can also be used to support a number of dental
prostheses like for example crowns, dentures or implant-supported
bridges.
Below here you can find illustration videos of how the implant
procedure takes place.
